Gail Hendrickson offers wide and extensive experience in all aspects of policy advocacy design and management - coupled with strong communications, fundraising, and organization management skills, which have been honed over three decades of success in driving new policies, technologies and business practices in the clean energy arena.
Hendrickson’s current portfolio includes oversight and guidance to the Alliance to Save Energy’s 50x50 Commission on US Transportation Sector Efficiency, a unique coalition of government, business, academic and non-profit leaders who have issued and are working together to implement a comprehensive set of local, state and federal policies that, taken together, could drive a 50% reduction in U.S. transportation-related energy use by 2050.
Hendrickson’s professional experience includes eleven years of service to the Alliance to Save Energy, where she served in key and diverse roles with increasing responsibility including Director of Transportation, Vice President, Executive Vice President, and ultimately providing leadership to the organization as the Chief Operations Officer. Her skills and expertise include professional management, fundraising, communications, and public affairs.
Hendrickson’s transportation experience derives from more than a decade of service in key leadership roles at the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA), a Washington, DC-based non-profit organization working to advance the commercialization of electric modes of transportation and supporting infrastructure through policy, information and market development initiatives in the U.S.
Hendrickson’s career in policy advocacy and coalition management began at Van Ness Feldman, a nationally-recognized law firm specializing in energy, environment and government relations. Her main areas of focus were electric transportation and clean coal technologies.
